Loved THIS site last year - it TRACKS SANTA as he travels the world!

NORAD apparantly uses four high-tech systems to track Santa - radar, satellites, Santa Cams and jet fighter aircraft.
They say about santa cam - 'We turn the cameras on about one hour before Santa enters a country then switch them off after we capture images of him and the Reindeer. '

It really is lovely - there is recorded sounds of Santa and the sleigh bells and it is great for kids who are still young but a bit more 'techie minded'.

There are loads of 'facts' included about how scientists think Santa gets down the chimney that starts with - 'Based on flight profile configuration data gathered from decades of NORAD's radar and satellite tracking of Santa Claus, the scientists have concluded that Santa probably stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 260 pounds.' This is the style the whole site uses - more scientific data than story which is great for the kids who are just starting to have doubts about him.

You can also e-mail Santa and there's music to play etc.

We looked at the NORAD site last year and my then 5 year old loved it.

It was recommended as website of the day on 'Steve Wright in the afternoon' (radio 2). It was so popular they had to keep the link on their website up until Christmas. I'm pretty sure they had it the previous year too.
