Acer TFT

Options
I bought an acer TFT from amazon. It was fine when I first got it but after 3 months developed an annoyed flicker. Telephone Acer customer support (0870 number grrrrrr..) who gave me an ID number and the courier number to telephone and arrange collection (another 0870 number grrrrrr..). The monitor was returned on 13th October it eventually arrived back on 4th November after several emails and telephone calls. However the fault was fixed but the person who repaired it managed to get a hair on the inside of the screen
Telephoned acer again and the courier again ect ect.
I have still not had the monitor back despite several telephone calls and emails. I have also had various replies to the telephone calls as listed
1/ The monitor is fixed it will be with you on Friday
2/ The monitor is unrepairable we are waiting for it to get shipped back!!??
3/ The monitor has been received we will issue a replacement within the next 10 days.
4/ Todays telephone call - you have to send us the monitor before we can issue a replacement. AHHHHHHH.
Finally they agreed to place an order for a new one we should get in within 3 to 4 weeks.
I also had an acer laptop that went back to be repaired twice, then took it back to Tesco for a refund, which they gave me thank goodness.
Has anyone got any ideas on how to get a faster result. The email add is a waste of time and the customer service department could drive you to commit murder

    It is helpful.

One bad experience with a manufacturer is bad. Then you mention you've previously experienced problems with another item made by the same manufacturer. So my helpful advice to you is, in the future, pay a little bit more for better quality goods.

Both items were bought within 2 weeks of each other. I purchased the TFT then the laptop, as I stated the TFT was fine for 3 months and then went wrong. I thought acer were good quality goods but I have been proved wrong.
So as you are so helpful thanks.

Its a shame because Acer, in my experience, has generally been a good brand. However if they can't get their CS and after sales together then any reputation earned will disappear in half the time it took to earn it.

    Keep plugging
