    Good rate BUT:

Please note: To open a fixed rate Halifax Web Saver, you will need to open a variable rate Halifax Web Saver account first. A fixed rate Halifax Web Saver can only receive the opening deposit from a variable rate Halifax Web Saver. When your fixed term ends, your savings will be transferred into your variable rate Web Saver.

I opened one. Now have £3 in the variable and the rest in the 3 month fixed

    Part of the Furniture
Still a good rate though. Even my websaver pays 5.8%. I think I'll stick a wad in the 3 month fix until things settle a bit.

    Thanks OP!

  • I have a account called a Gaurenteed Saver can I use this or do I need a variable rate Halifax Web Saver account
    thx
    Will someone thank me :)
  • The terms and conditions do say you need a websaver to transfer in from and return to after the fixed period ends. If you have online banking with HBOS these are easy and simple to open from the welcome page after logging in.
  • Yes, you need the Web Saver, but it is not that much of a hassle to set up and you don't need to keep any money in it, although I keep £1 in it :D
