They do deals on this item from time to time.
I bought one from them during the year for £5.99
Very useful for checking the power consumption of all sorts of stuff.
Mine is on the pond pump at the moment checking running costs.0 -
Well I would disagree that it’s a good device ….I think it’s a “get you bothered device”!!
….So you use this device & it informs you that your fridge freezer is costing you 50p per day to run & that the kettle is costing you 80p (made up figures) …what are you going to do about it?….in some cases it better the devil you don’t know!!0 -

Hmmmm not sure i agree with this. Moneysaving is all about being informed and this device can help in that sense.
Of course just how each individual acts on the information is another thing altogether.0 -
I'm on the fence with this one
ouch ! anyone want to get these splinters out for me ??
I can see an eco friendly person using it for everything. It's useful if you have a decision to make about the running costs of something, wether its worth keeping an electrical item or getting rid of it. Maybe an outside heater or light ???
Me personally, I'd probably only use it on the tv, to see if its worth the long walk to switch it off instead of pressing the remote.
Does it not use electricity itself ??? Is it not wasteful ??...I don't know
I can't see any other use for it for me personally !

Hi,
I can't see the point in it myself, you can save money by not buying it in the firstplace.
Most appliances have the wattage of the appliance on them somewhere, from this you can calculate the cost of the electricity.
Lamps are dead easy, a 100w lamp uses 100w of electricity per hour, no need for a meter to work that one out lol
