Any way to get short term car insurance?

Hi,

We are currently selling both our cars, and getting 2 new ones. In the process, unintentionally we've now ended up with 3 cars which isn't quite what we'd planned. This will only be a temporary situation until we sell one of the old ones, but I will obviously need insurance for all 3 temporarily until then.

Is there anywhere that lets you purchase short term car insurance? Thanks.

So you can add another car to the same insurance policy then? I didn't know that was an option. Is that what you mean ?

It's what ive done too. They may charge you £10-15 for the cover between the sale and purchase, but you can add it to your premium for the year.

yes mine was just on a temp basis costing 12 a month

my father who has several cars has them all on one policy, cheaper for him to do it that way as he can only ever be driving one at a time

Thanks to the advice on here, I've just sorted out temporary cover with my existing insurer. £30 for a month which seems a bit more than I'd expected but not too bad.
