Tax Credits Question

Hi,
Just wanted some advice hope someone can help. My husband and i Split up in may 2007 and i started a single claim for tax credits which pays the majority of my sons full time nursery as last year i only earnt 14k. Recentley we started talking again and would like to have another go at things and for him to move in with us again, ( I'm currently living at my parents ).
My son only has 2 more months left at nursery as he starts full time school in January so do you think it worth leaving it till then at which point i shall get hardly anything from tax credits anyway or should i tell them now? Plus his income for last year and this year is all over the place as he changed jobs a few times and only got a P45 from one the other he paid emergancy tax on when he started. Can he call up the tax office and find out how much he earnt for april 07 - 08 as i dont want to cancel this claim and not be able to fill in a new form without the correct data?
Also they have my income down for this year as 22k but what with my taxable bonus in december and overtime throughout the year it will probably be about 24/25k on my P60 in april should i tell them this now or wait till i get the actual figure in april?
In december when my sons nursery stops can i say i dont want anything else from them as they said even without his nursery fees i will still get some for working more than 30 hours to be honest i just want the hasstle out of my life!
Sorry for all the questions but i'm really confused about what to do and dont want to be over paid! xx

Maybe not much help but if I were you I would hold off moving back in together until Jan, Tax Credits not worth the hassle.
As you have said, you will need all kinds of info about your husbands salary and the change in yours....0
