How many cheap drill bits do you have to blunt/break before an SDS drill and a few decent bit becomes money saving?!
Used to go through many cheapo bits a month...now have a SDS and the same bits for 2 years...Sometimes better VALUE is the more expensive option to begin with!0 -

SDS drill is great for drilling into 'hard' concrete, just difficult to justify the cost in the standard home!0 -
It really is worth picking one up if you do plenty of DIY, they make life so much easier.
The OP should ask around on a local message board to see if anyone has one for a short term loan.0
