Hi, Can anyone recommend a cheap decent 3-4* hotel in W1 or WC2 postcodes.

Any last minute deals?

I stayed in The Lancaster Hotel just off Russell Square in September and was very pleased with it.
I had booked a single for £50 per night but was allocated a double.
I booked direct with their site.

Try Regent Palace Hotel which is on Piccadilly Circus. Its a budget hotel with rooms from £35 to £100 per night.

Also try https://www.laterooms.com and see what you get. I stayed at 5* hotel in Kensington for £35 bed and breakfast. Major benefit in my eyes is although you guarantee the room with a credit card, they dont charge it until you check in. That way there is some chance of negotiation if you were not totally happ.
