Morning all!
How are you Sophiesmum?
I tackled BT about my direct debit and have had it reduced from £33.50 to £19.00 a month. This saving has been made by hiding the phone, if the tribe doesn't know where it is, they can't use and have to use their mobiles
I paid £38.42 of the tack bill so it's down to £252.69 from £324.50, this was an Amazon payment that landed this morning (and went straight out!) Incidentally, I put a piece of the old tack on ebay last night and already have a bid on it!
Today (and last night) I have/will- listed 4 items on ebay
- sold 1 item on ebay awaiting payment
- go to library
- bank a cheque from musicmagpie
- check online banking
- come to work
- bought in breakfast and lunch
- made a loaf in breadmaker
Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Put a cross trainer on ebay as I'm moving somewhere a lot smaller so need the space (and of course the money will be useful!)
Also just collected £80 for an old car that I thought I would have to pay to get taken away. Shopped around a bit, and a local breakers offered me money for it, and came and collected it, so very pleased with that :j"Things are made of littler things that jiggle."

Morning All :hello:
Welcome Katrss7:hello: you'll find this thread addictive or at least habit forming. (or is that just me?) I too have BUCKETLOADS of apples to deal with, and one way I found helpful was to peel & core 4-5 apples at a time and freeze them like that, in little plastic bags. (My mum gave me some she got from Lakeland, other varieties are available) That way throughout the year I could hook out a bag of almost prepared apples that were really versatile, I could even slice and stew them from frozen.
Well today I have/will- given up on piggyclicks
- written a MS report for a visit last night
- made bread in the BM
- brought in lunch
- still eating un-identifiable meals from the freezer. More mystery soup at lunchtime. some pork & cabbage looking thing for supper
- will go for a swim tonight courtesy of mystery shopping
- will make a list & menu plan, but not actually go shopping so it's a NSD
- pay in a cheque for an e-bay item (I'm sending it too, it is of such low value, it'd cost him more to bounce the cheque than it's worth)
Sophiesmum, how are you now?0 - given up on piggyclicks

morning all! and welcome katrss7
it's sunny here... sophiesmum, time to move to London!
last of the october pay month payments have gone out today, £612 off those pesky loans :money: but that's it for payments for a few weeks!! Still, seeing my healthy bank balance go down to about 4p for the month doesn't upset me like it used to!!
And, in another spot of good news, our deferred payrise kicked in today so about an extra £60-£70 a month (until the company car arrives  and I take a big hit!), all helps!!
have a great day all (pinch, punch!)

Hi all,
I have decided to join this thread if that is OK - new month new start and its looking like from the end of this month me and DH will be paying a mortgage in London AND renting a place in the Midlands (long story) so all things moneysaving are going to become even more important!
Today I will
- Check online banking
- Transfer to savings the money that has cleared from cashing in a NSI bond (nearly £800 yippee!)
- Daily Clicks (am trying hard to persevere with these!)
- Bought lunch into work
- Charge phone at work
- Storecupboard dinner tonight
- Contact Orange as 18 month contract is up and try for cheaper one
- Have a NSD - the first of many I hope!
- Do some research on mystery shops (any advice on where to look?)
Happy saving folks
