Hi guys,
I have a toshiba 1800 series laptop which is 6 years old but still working but now I think I need to buy a new battery. I searched thru google and come across global-stores.co.uk and g-batteries.co.uk both give a price £27.99+ vat I think. Has anyone has any experience with this company?
Many thanks.

When I looked for a similar laptop battery last year, I found a large number of similar-looking .co.uk websites all offering similar-looking products at the same price. When I looked closer, they turned out to all be the same company, based in Lancashire.
If you look at the "About Us" text, you'll often see something like the following:
"We have been successfully trading online since 1998, in partnership with other pronounced trading company originally. As an business leader <company name> delivers high quality.... etc."
From the wording I would guess you are probably dealing with a UK-based "front" of a Chinese company.
The product will probably be Ok - but possibly lower quality than an original battery. You would probably get better value buying direct via Ebay where you ~know~ that it is coming from Hong Kong/China, and will therefore pay less.0
