Spent ages trying to find three for two on chad valley toys. Found toys with stickers on them with the present in the corner only to be told this offer had finished last Sunday arg..... asked why they did'nt remove the stickers was told it meant it was suitable as a present (yeah right) gutted. Will be taking them back tomorrow for a refund.
Waddle you do eh?

Don't get me started about woolworths! They are banned from my house this christmas!!
Have they given you your money back yet? It took me 4 visits, 3 confrontations, and a letter drafted by a legal adviser for them to part with £12.99 to refund a faulty item.0 -
OP, what on earth are you on about? You found your 3 for 2 items in store eventually, but when you got to the till, were told the stickers did not apply? If the stickers said 3 for 2, and were not dated, then you can insist they honour it or photo them and report them to trading standards.
Then you bought the items anyway, and now you want a refund ..why?0 -
I had this happen to me last year.
I took ages deciding on my free item, only to be told the offer had finished a few days earlier.
Now i know why i rarely shop at Woolies anymore.0 -
There are loads of products with these stickers on and loads hidden away in places so it is difficult to remove them all and they would leave a horriable mess behind anyway.
Wig - It doesn't say anywhere that these products are 3 for 2 therefore Woolworths don't have to give you this offer. xStudent MoneySaving Club member 017!0 -

Maybe the law has changed but I thought, within reason, a shop can change the price at the check outs since what is on the shelf is only an invitation to buy with the actual contract being made at the checkouts. If the offer was over and they were piled in a corner would Woolies not have a reasonable case for saying that they were coming off the ofer and just had not been updated yet?
I thought there was a certain leeway here
Having said that I often find that Woolies pricing can be misleading.
