Is this a reasonable price?
I use Powergen for gas at my office. I would like to check that the new price I have just been quoted for 2006 is fairly reasonable. It is:
Standing charge 20.09 p per day
Units 2.08p per unit
Both figures exclude VAT and Climate Change levy.
As to usage, we pay about £50 per month at present.
I have had no cause to trouble Powergen's Customer Disservices, so have not experienced any problems. I do anticipate that it might be troublesome to change to a new supplier, so just want to get an idea of whether these new charges are way OTT.
I'd be really grateful for any advice you experts can provide please.
Regards
Geoff

As nobody on here knows and/or can be bothered to reply, I will give an update for anybody who might be in the same position as me. I spoke to the energy helpline, and they informed me that 2p per unit is a very good price at the moment. Some suppliers are not quoting at all at the moment, and other are quoting up to 5p per unit for gas.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
