Change gas to electric fire

i am needing advice on changing my gas fire to an electric fire, my boiler is at the back of the gas fire which i plan to take out and put in an electrical fire, will this be an east transaction? i am just wondering what will happen with the boiler will this just be boxed off?
any help or advice is welcome:beer:

You have what is known as a "back boiler". Unfortunately you can't just replace the gas fire part of it for electric. I'm fairly sure that to do so would make the boiler unsafe. If you want to change the fire front you would either need to find a suitable replacement gas fire front compatible with the boiler (your choice will be very limited ) or have a new condensing boiler installed elsewhere in the house . If space is at a premium then the condensing boiler may need to be what is called a combination boiler (or combi for short) - but your talking £2-3k ..not forgetting the cost of a new fire on top.
