My Sky+ is broke, in warranty - Want upgrade to HD!

I am 10 months into having sky+ (had sky for 2 years before that though) and the box has stopped recording, only shows chanels when it feels like it etc...

I have been awaiting a response from sky for 4 days on what they are going to do (they promised a new box but claim a problem with their system in sorting a call out). Thing is, its a reconditioned box that they are offering - do I have to accept that under warranty? I want a new box and hopefully haggle for HD!

If I don't get satisfaction, I assume I can leave and my girlfriend can apply and qualilfy for the 'new customer' deals?

Any advice would be fantastic!!!

Have you been doing the sky boxes "Housekeeping" as per the instruction manual?

Yes, it is in their repair terms and conditions.

You won't get that as they have offered a box that has been fully serviced and falls within their terms and conditions of repair.

No, when you signed up for Sky+ you re-entered into another 12 month commtment. You would have to wait, and even then you might not qualify for the offers.
