a friend recommended this thread when I was moaning about buying pressies for all the teachers and teaching assistants my kids have (I'm sure I only had one teacher back in the day but they seem to need an army of them).
Anyway, thank you this is a great idea which I'll be copying now! already searching ebay for cello cones :T0 -

Can anyone advise me on how to attach the candy cane? I'm guessing glue or double sided tape. Have tried to do a quick search, but not found it.
Thanks:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

I just tied my on with the ribbon I used to 'close' the cone. I tied it once around the cone, then around the cane before I did the bow.
Hope this helps.0 -

Thanks
I found it best to use a bit of sellotape across the middle of cane attaching it to the side of the cone.0 -
Me and my dd made snowman soup for her nursery teachers last year, they all loved them so was going to do it again as it was cheap, went down well , dd can help and 2 different teachers. My query is, do you always put it in a mug to give? I did with the teachers last year. I got the 45p ones from Asda, but im sure they have plenty of mugs. Do you think the snowman soup with the tag and a nice card is enough?:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
