Every time my son logs into xbox 360 live he gets a message when he is in the middle of playing online on a game which says "Connection Interupted" and then he has to go back to find the match all over again.
We havn't changed anything or our router or anything. Although he thinks this has been happening only since we got a new laptop. The xbox is connected to a router via plugs which go into the wall, one by the xbox and one by the router. The laptop connects to the internet wirelessly.
Has this happened to anyone else?, none of nour other computers have suffered a connection lose, so I think it must be comething with the xbox side. Any ideas anyone, before I have to spend a fortune to get a man in !!
By the way, be warned, I am in no way a techie, so please be gentle with me !!
Thanks

Basically once the latency on the network gets too much because, for example, you've got another computer on the network hogging all the bandwidth, it drops the connection as it doesn't get a response from the game host within a set time limit.
You might want to find out whether it only happens with the laptop on and if so, what that laptop is doing.0 -
So you're connected through one of those mains networking things? Connecting straight into the router is the fastest way, and wireless, or any steps in between will add latency. But as Conor suggests, check how it works with just the XBox switched on. If this works, you know there's a bandwidth hog somewhere in the house. If he's in the middle of a game and you start watching iPlayer, or dowloading stuff, that could be enough to knock out his gaming.

XBox live are very helpful. If none of the above works give them a call, it's free so better than a man.
