BT Charges

I have this argument with BT numerous times - they charge me (Processing fee) £4.50 for the privilege of sending them a cheque to pay my phone bill and if I don't pay it I get wopped with a £7.50 late payment charge!

I have looked at the various options for changing suppliers as per MSE but suppliers see to charge a connection fee of around £30. This negates any real value in ditching BT for another supplier.

Am I missing something here?

Comments

  • Yes your missing the fact the majority of suppliers either charge you extra for not paying by dd,or want even entertain you if you dont.

Post Office Home Phone however charge the same whether you pay by cash/cheque or dd,and their is no connection charge.
  • Pay by direct debit or as some do sign up for direct debit but pay by online banking once you know the amount due.
