Why is my gas meter going round when I'm not using anything?
Options
In an attempt to get my family remembering to switch stuff off:rolleyes: I decided to take a meter reading this morning so I could monitor how much we currently use and reduce it.
I have a combi boiler, gas fire and gas cooker (oven and hob). Fire and cooker haven't been used at all today, but even when I am not running hot water the meter continues to go round. Why is this?

Gas fire got a pilot?
We have a completely off setting on the fire and one with a small flame, very small, which when lit means it is quicker to fire a main flame up when we need it. Apart from Christmas, if cold, we never have that small flame on.0
