Hi guys
Can anybody explain to me how I can access chrome dual view. Im loving the chrome browser but am trying to do my meal planning
Thing is I need to read my source on one side and have my calendar beside it to make entries. I just used the search function to establish that there is such a thing and I found it at chrome plug ins, but I can't find how to put it on my laptop and make it work. Using two tabs is very confusing as I lose track and this would make it soooo much easier.
Thank you

You could click and drag the tab you want refer to to another part of the screen.
You would then have two independent browser windows. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Hi Polkadot, To install Google Chrome Dual View, there is an article:
Split your Google Chrome browser: Google Chrome Dual View- Open above link.
- Make sure your bookmark shows on browser(Click menu: Tools -> Always show bookmarks bar)
- Drag and drop the Chrome Dual View link to your bookmarks:

not quite clear why this is better than having two instances of the browser running, more flexible since you can choose to 'split' both horizontally or vertically
or am I missing something
p.s followed instructions as per above reply - link appears in bookmark bar, hovering over seem to show correct javascript code - but nothing on double click?0 -
Thanks Andrew it was my bookmarks bar that was the problem (looks like). Bob its just easier than having to switch between tabs-when you do that you can only see what you're working on and in the case of dragging two windows, if they overlap you still have to keep reactivating the window. (Hope that makes sense) With the dual view I can be looking at info from one page and tying straight into another. In my case its the MSE Meal planner thread being copied into my google calendar. Its also good for comps-like the ITV ones for example when you need to find a list of answers:)0
