My dad took his pc to a shop to be upgraded and cleaned up (he's hopeless at doing it himself!). The pc came back running really good, and the shop have installed XoftSpySE on there. when he scans it picks up spyware etc and seems good.
I tried to download it, and it asks for a licence key? Is there a free version? it finds 58 things, and 3 registry keys but wont remove without the key.

yes there is a free version -actually it's listed as freeware.
go to downloads.com for reviews as they are mixed.
personally -I opted for free version of AVG (if in Vista watch out for conflict Windows defender)

Just leave it alone. Use Spybot - Search & Destroy with it's Tea Timer and Immunize function for free.0
