Waiting on Barclays

Completed their online forms a week back and I have heard nothing. Rang their help line and their message tape suggest they will take two weeks to get back. Any one been through this lately.

If you hold to talk to someone you can ask them to check the status of your application.

I've done this three times in the last 3 weeks - each time they have no record of my application. They are apparently having website problems but in my case I'm not seeing any errors when trying to apply the application just seems to get lost.

If this is related to the online account access problems that I see noted in another thread then they seem to be aware of it but not able to do anything about it!

I'd be interested to know if anyone had applied for this card successfully over the last few weeks because if not it seems a little crazy having it recommended as the "best new customer balance transfer" card. Perhaps a threat of removal of that recommendation would spur them into action!

I applied for the breath card, heard back within 3 working days. got the card 3 working days after that. Probably the fastest turnaround I've had on a card.

Spoke with an Indian voice at Barclays who had difficulty understanding me. There were web problems last week but she could take my application over the phone. I do not think so.
Went online to Virgin and took £7.5k inside ten minutes.

applied for mine on Sunday, was confirmed this morning, card should be here in 10 days.
