Its strange isnt it, i dont know much about suppliers but it seems random as to who are the bad guys, from personal experiance i would never go with npower due to the massive F up's made around 2002 when i wasnt billed properly for 18 moths then hit with a £900 bill and i remember this happening to lots of people including some of the care homes managed by the company i worked for at the time, with bills for thousands.

Although this did eventually work out ok, i actually moved out of the house after that and lodged back with my parents, i tried to arrange to pay it off and they eventually come back with the deal of me paying £40 a month towarsd the debt and then £40 for current usage, but when i said thats fine but i dont need the current usage as i will no longer be running a house or having a personal electric bill they said i couldnt do that payment plan , i tried and tried to get it sorted but could not get a response i wrote to loads of different managers about trying to pay my debt off but it was all ignored and i ran out of time and had to move out of the house.

My parents were also using Npower, and randomly about 4 months later, by £900 bill was applied to my parents account, even though they had no idea we were related or that i was staying there. Needless to say my mother went spare and told them what to do with it, she explained what had happend and that i was staying there and had tried to sort this out but had not got any help from them. Nothing was heard for about about 3 months when i got letter form npower, i opened with caution but to my suprised found a letter saying that my account had been closed in credit at just over £300 and the Giro in my name along with it, i am sure this was just another mess up on their part but i just took the money and said nothing , i still wouldnt go with them as they were just an annoying stress for 2 years that got everything wrong and i had to waste so much time on the phone and writing letters that accomplished absolutely nothing with their useless customer service staff, in the end it was just a mess up in my favour that was the final chapter.

so yeah , i dont like Npower 1 bit , and i remember having issues with scottish power as well, Atlantic electric were very good for customer service but i think their prices might be quite high looking at my latest bills.

I am currently considering EON, they seem to be a better company its just finding the right tariff, correct me if i am wrong but EON actually manange and maintain a lot of the gas networks and are not just paper pushing profit driven number crunchers like the others, i mean when was the last time you saw a scottish power wagon going down the road to do a a gas repair or install, at least they would have a bit more sway if you had some maintenance issues.

just my opinion, im still looking so any more imput much appreciated

Same here, NPower are ones I have always said, I'd never go back too - cowboys and dreadful call centre. Saying that I said I'd never go back to British Gas for similar reason, however did so for 3 months.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
