Share disposal

Anybody able to advise the simplest way of disposing of some shares. Aftre taking a pasting on B&B, thinking of getting rid of our Aviva (Norwich Union) shares. Not too bothered about cost of sale as not great value just somewhere you can walk into, hand over the paperwork and wait for the cheque. Do the high street banks/building societies do this?

If it's more than £500 worth, search the site for Selftrade referral, get someone to refer you to Selftrade, then take the £80 bonus and spend £12.50 to sell the shares after sending the certificates to them. I.e. get paid over £65 to sell your shares.
