Janey - Hope your mum is comfortable and getting the treatment she needs, it must be very traumatic for her (and you) having this happen when she was only just trying to settle into her new home. At least it proves the point that she was unsafe to be on her own at home. Take care of you both x x x0

Janey, hope your Mum gets well again soon. Nyk, sorry about your house. Lets hope today is a better day for everyone!
My feelings on the whole Icesave mess is that I'm still here, I have a job, a roof over my head and enough money to eat and pay my bills for the next month. All that's temporarily lost is some numbers on a piece of paper, and I should be thankful for what I've got!Live on £11k in 20110 -
Good morning to all and special hugs of support to Janey, I hope your mum isn't too badly hurt and that you aren't completely stressed out by it, these things do happen and she was, at least, somewhere that had knowledgeable people around - I'm guessing your mum is a bit of a night owl, too?
I'm scared to move away from the desk in case I miss the phone call from estate agent. Still waiting for them to call back and confirm viewing appointment and thre later it's getting, the less inclined I am to believe we'll get to see this house before it's already gone. I should really get some housework done, then lug the Dyson into the front room for collection (I Freecycled it) this afternoon. I also need to list another box of 'declutter stuff' and update works related files. Must keep busy! Think I'll go make a coffee. :rotfl:I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Morning,
I have a day off today, had a late night watching TV so woke up about 9ish. Just going to have a bath and then decide what I am going to do with myself today. I have to go into Town with my repairs and then the rest of the day is mine!! I might tackle some of the mess in this place.
speak later,
SL x

Hug Janey, really sorry to hear of your mum's fall, have you heard anything yet? I do hope she's not too badly hurt. Take care xx
Great attitude Lynda, good for you!
Sorry to hear about the house Nyk, so frustrating - really hope this one comes off. Have you directly asked why you weren't successful?

I'm lurking and sending loving thoughts to everyone, esp Janey, sophiesmum and marru. Well, actually, everyone because I think we all need it.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Hello all,
I'll just sent out a collective hug to all those of who who have another not so great (or simply rubbish) day. I really hope it all gets better and someone has some good news to report soon. We could all need a little lift and a smile on our faces

Went to costco again today to pick up a birthday cake for one of oldies. They had some 1 litre bottles of salad dressings reduced from £3 ish to 47p no vat- so picked up a french vinaigrette and a honey and mustard one - date is early next year so will be used by then - another 94p of contingency fund spent but was a bargain:o
I ws treated to coffee by oldie whilst we were there too:D
Finlly got around to making something in remoska last night - flapjacks - went down well so making more today:p also going to try toad in the hole for tea. Glad I got the grand size though as it is smaller than I was expecting, won't be much use for batch cooking - I usually make three times that amount when batch cooking, but i think there is a place for it in my useful kitchen gadget collection:D
Think there was some news on the icesave issue, if I heard right on car radio the govt (ours)is going to guarantee peoples deposits and then take iceland to court to claim back cash. Hope that is right - thinking of you Linda - love your attitude to your potentil loss :A but in reality it isn't numbers on a page it is a lot of your hard work, hard saving and future happiness that is represented by those numbers... hope everything works out okay, and it doesn't jeopardise your plans for the house.x0
