    Hello,

I also agree with the semi. I think your cars would be very happy there. And if you want to keep cats it would be nicer for them as well.

I have now tackled my income problem with vengance. I have applied for catalogue delivery jobs with three different courier companies, sent application to do pet visiting/feeding and small animal boarding to a company providing these services, made enquiry of becoming a Usb0rne rep (I should get more info next week about this). Something has to come off. I have done some accounting today but now the client server has kicked me out so need to continue a bit later and go back to my personal todo list in the meanwhile.

    Catch up later...

Marru - good luck on the work front. Just don't be tempted to take on too much and exhaust yourself if more than one of these things works out!

I have a free night tonight. Don't get to go out too much but always seem to be ferrying my kids to something every evening so am looking forward to a whole uninterupted night in. I want to sort out my budget for next years challenge if I can, but have to confess to being a bit confused:

Nyk (or anyone else who knows!)
Will there be a specific challenge like this one or is everyone going to be including different things? Only some people have mentioned housing costs and other stuff not in this years...........
  • The aldi lidl programme was really a comparison on cost and quality and lots of tasting then a christmas dinner blind taste which aldi just missed out on winning on the main course but the difference in money was £30

Nothing groundbreaking for us lot ...................some stuff is good and some not so good , interesting facts about cost of displaying so many brands in tesco though

Nyk - our co-op sells candy canes

Lynda - the house is nice and all that garage space could be converted too if needed
i can see the appeal of the flat too ..................but think of all that strorage space for stockpiling!!

Oh, go for the house in Upper Stratton, the house we lived in when I was born is just around the corner in Cricklade Road!!!!! My parents shared it with another family, so we moved when they were expecting my sister.
I sooooooooooo want to move back to Swindon, trouble is house prices here are dropping, so the gap is still impossibly large.

My brother just called me. Today my Mum had gone all confused. She had dismantled her knitting machine and had no recollection of it at all and kept talking about same thing all over again. My brother took her into the hospital where she will be over night for observation. We will find out tomorrow how she will be.

She lives on her own nearish to my brother so it is a worry if this might happen again as she could have cooker on or something else could happen. I wish I could be in a position to just jump into an aeroplane and go there but I am not. I just now have to wait till tomorrow and keep pushing from here for proper diagnosis of what is wrong. In the meanwhile I will try to find some nursing homes near to my brother that would allow my mum to take her cats with her.

There should be a service called: Rent an OH and the cost of it should be covered by benefits. I would love someone to come here and take over and pay my tickets to go and see my Mum.

    What next?

  • Hope your mum is alright marru (((hugs))), sounds like she may have had a TIA or little stroke if it has been a sudden change in her and not just a gradual deterioration. At least your brother is nearby to help her and to keep in touch with you.

  • Oh Marru,

I do hope your mum will be alright, it must be difficult staying in a different country from her, especially if she isn't feeling well. I'm sure your brither will keep you updated, remember we are all here for you.
