I'm getting lots of spam from Oilyhand, offering me incredible amounts of 'easy' cashback, but when I click through the offers are never as good as they seem at first sight. Has anyone else found this?

Yes, me! And I'm still nowhere to my first (and last:rotfl:) payout from them. I can't see me ever getting a penny from them, whereas Qu**co does at least have cashback for things i actually buy.

Whitewing, I feel for you, that's really awful. The problem is it's quite impossible to tell whether they are ever paying any of us the correct amount, as their calculations are so complicated and then it's based on guessing what the actual income will be.
On the bright side, I think they have to let you pay any overpayments back in small chunks. One year they claimed just over £4 back from me, but it had to be in installment throughout the year, so many pence per week :rotfl: They wrote to me twice about it, in those enormous envelopes they always use, must have cost them most of the £4!
Hope you get sorted soon, it sounds an awful lot for them to have got wrong.

Just come up for a quick breather before tackling my oldies halloween party tonight:D
Hot pot is made, room decorated, balloons blown up, tables laid, very alcoholic punch chilling in fridge, lots of beers chilling in other fridge, buckets of ice in freezer, gateaux defrosting, popcorn popped, music ready, and all oldies quiet in flats preparing themselves for tonight;)
I just need to sort out a quiz and print out 45 copies and then I will be ready for takeoff at 6pm.
The alcohol for tonight has been donated by the local police and is what has been confiscated from kids drinking in the streets. Must be lots of alcoholic kids about as we have been given 100+ cans and bottles of beer, lager, cider, alcopops etc, plus vodka, red wine, white wine, cinzano, whisky etc. we have only had to buy OJ and lemonade:j
Should have a quiet day tomorrow as everyone will be sleeping off the effects of the party. Amazingly after last halloween there were lots of walking sticks etc left in the lounge, seems that the effects of the punch include aiding mobility:confused: I always thought it was the opposite:p
Anyway must get off and sort out the quiz, then have a minute till party time.

Thanks for your sympathy everyone. I decided to carry on with my pastry making efforts for the timebeing as DH is working tonight and he is in charge of rolling stuff out. Whilst I was squeezing the pastry I seem to remember that the accountant told me I could definitely deduct some of the amount. What I don't know is if he checked the rest of it was correct.

how nice of the youth of today to supply a substantial part of the refreshments :D

guess they prop each other up as they return to their rooms......

but the big question has to be whether they all end up in the right rooms !!!!

Uuuh, my brain is getting foggy...I think I need to give up, have some lunch, walk the dog, get some fruit for DD's breakfast and then go and get DD and go to Halloween Party.

If somebody knows why skeletal muscle cell has more than one nuclei please can you let me know. Thanks.

I am trying not to fall for temptation while in the shop but I can feel the need to put bottle of wine and bag of crisps into my basket for later. Wish me luck...

Sophiesmum - it sounds like a fab Halloween party!! I am going to party with the other end of the age scale so no punch I am afraid.

Whitewing - tax credit people just recently realised that I had got £500 too much in summer 2007 (April to August inclusive). This was when we still had joint application. So I am in the middle of sorting it out with the added difficulty of getting income info from ex. You are not the only one.

Edit: :rotfl:cw for the small print

I'll have to let you know the answer to that one tomorrow:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

we had a pyjama party one new year and I ended up putting several of them to bed myself, luckily they were already dressed for bed :p:p

Today i received a gift of a digestive biscuit iced with blue icing - it had a label attached - "Viagara biscuit -guaranteed to stay hard whilst dunking". :rotfl: See what I have to put up with from my oldies:rotfl:
