Belling hob - no spark

Hi
My Belling hob has lost it's spark. All the burners are affected. I have done the obvious and changed the fuse. Belling CS suggested it might be the generator that has failed - costing about £30 to replace. Is it an easy job to replace one? The engineer call out is £90. Or does anyone have any other ideas? And yes, I'm using a match at the moment;).
TIA
I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

Sounds pricey to me to repair and the call out sounds excessive. I'd try shopping around on an engineer with a lower callout fee....alternatively buy one of the little hand held spark devices to ignite it (can't think of the name offhand!).
