I have got my children a Wii for Christmas.
I bought separtately 2 nun chucks.
Not knowing a great deal about this thing, do I need 2 more remotes?
Did I need to buy to separate nun chucks?
Sorry to be a bit thick but I'm not sure what each of them do!
Thanks in advance!

At a minimum you need 2 controllers, or four if you want 4 people to play at once - these are used by all games.
The Nunchucks are only used by certain games, such as boxing, usually as an additional directional controller to the standard controller.
Get Wii sports, it's a fantastic starter pack of games.
Woohoo - my 3000 post0 -
there is two parts to the WII mote,, there is the nunchuk, and there is the other like TV remote part( trying to explain for you to understand) all in all you would need four pieces, two nunchuks, and two of the Tv remote kind of things
there should be nothing else you need just games i would reccommened, Mario and sonic at the olympics, Super Smash Bros Brawl and Mario Kart..
actually you may need a recharable dock to charge the remote up, but definately nothign else0 -
Depends how many children you have...
The wii comes with wii sports ("game"), a stand, one wiimote, one nunchuck, sensorbar, cables etc.
So, if you want a wiimote and nunchuck for each child, you need to buy X-1 of each (where X is the number of children).
Most people buy wii play (another "game") to get their first "extra" wiimote though...0 -
Thank you all very very much!:T
I have 2 children - and me!
So I'll look to get another 2 remotes then.0 -

You don't need two more remotes unless you want 3 people to play at once. The Wii comes with 1 remote and 1 nunchuck so if you wan two of each you need to buy 1 extra nunchuck and 1 extra remote (probably by buying Wii Play).
BTW I wouldn't recommend a charging dock as some of them have been known to fry remotes. We just use a standard battery charger and rechargable batteries. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Part of the reason for getting it was so we could play together on it!
Thanks for the tip about the charging dock, I've just been looking at them, don't think I'll bother now!0 -

that's what OP was getting at.."2 children - and me!" - I count that as 3...0
