Not the only F500i the buyer has bought either... they have bought 2 of these phones within days of one another.
Presume Hintzas is the BIN one on 22nd. The other was bought on 24th - seller ended auction early to sell to our buyer.

Later one cost £19 less. But it was bought after the complaint, so probably just a replacement. There could be a bizarre scam going on here but I just cannot see what it is. :-/

    Hi Guys

Retrieved the phone and popped into local woolies who exchanged it without a fuss. Boy am I relieved.

Have learnt a lesson though note down IMEI number before posting.

I now have to call them and see if they are going to take the phone.

How hard do I push this issue? Bearing in mind that I only sold it on the 22 November at 23:16.

    Any thoughts?

He hasn since bought another one last night.

Have driven 60 miles today (ok popped into see my mother as well for lunch) will cost me relisting fees another set of FVF fees. You wonder if its worth the hassle at times.

On a positive note Morgan Auctions will pick up the monitor tomorrow and replace or refund.

Refurbished/New but manufactured in 2000 wonder whether to replace it or take the refund?

Well that was an interesting phone call.

After taking a big gulp of whisky I called my buyer and told them I replaced phone and would post it in the morning.

Expecting the .....we have just bought another and don't want yours argument.........but NO.....I got oh great thats fine thankyou very much.

    Another big sigh of relief.

So he is now the proud owner of two F500s... ???

So all is well that ends well.

Still something funny going on but hopefully I will be out the loop now.

I would just like to thank you guys for the tips and help with this. You have been superb

Could be 2 user ID's, one buys faulty phones the other buys working phones. Faulty phones sent back to working phone sellers as DOA and then sell the working phones on Ebay.

    The scam is as follows:
Buyer buys dud phone and swaps the inside, including the chassis with the perfectly working phone. He ensures that the imei (on the back of the phone) from the perfectly working phone is attached to the dud phone which he returns to the seller, and claims a faulty phone....a bit like ringing cars!!!!
Since the phone wont turn on, there is no way of checking the imei on the phone, which if it did work, would not match the replaced/dud casing.
The other minor point i want to mention, is that a brand new phone may not charge at all for upto 24-36 hours, due to the battery being drained. But I must admit, these are few and far between!

I checked all buyers and sellers by e-mail and those that replied did not mention any problems.

    Weird
