Has anyone tiled their bathroom horizontally?

What I mean is, mostly bathroom tiles are stuck on the wall so they are the vertical way up (portrait style in terms of printing).
Has anyone tiled their bathroom with the tiles horizontal (landscape style)? Are you happy?
I'm considering this, but am unsure because I'm not really a person for doing things the different way.
//Edit - we have 45 x 30cm tiles.

Ours is.
We had it done brick effect.
When you tile the whole bathroom & do it vertically I think it can create a bit of a public loo effect.
We also used a triple row of mosaics as a mid wall border. There are two tiles up from the bath & then this triple row of mosaics all around, then the white tiles again to the top.
Looks great.
EDIT & ours are large tiles too.0 -
I don't suppose you have a photo do you?
I'd never even thought about tiling horizontally until I saw it in a tile shop, but it was just a few meters sqr.0 -
We tiled a small wet room horizontally and it looks 100 times better than when we had it tiled the normal way!***************************************

It's easier tiling standing up!!
Seriously though...i just flicked through Topps Tiles "tilestyle" brochure (issue 23 - so may not be upto date) but on page 8,9 and 12 there are some tiles hung "stretcher-bond" brickwork style (as well as other tiles like "metro" which are laid horizontally but remind me of London Underground stations!)

My brother has his tiled stretcher bond style and I think it looks great.0

I found a picture from the topps tiles websites of what I mean:
My only worry is it looks like it might be harder than tiling them squarely. I'm doing the tiling myself.0 -
Ours is done stretcher bond - each tile is about A4 paper sized and plain white. It works really well, but ideally you need larger tiles - like the photo.0

We've done it a few times and I think it looks great. Both brickwork style and squared. You could also lay them brickwork style but vertically!
It's more interesting than vertical and squared and I think it looks a bit more expensive.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
