I did this myself and all but 1 of the creditors were fine about 'doing it myself'
and i'm now well on the way to paying it off!
So my experience is proof that the DIY repayment plans do work.I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -

Wouldn't hurt to keep the appointment as they may be able to offer further help
2 heads are better than 1There are many paths to tread to find true financial enlightenment, some of them are clear of obstacles, others have huge piles of doggie DooDoo in them in which one can easily tread. The journey is not made easier by the fact that the financial institutions blind fold us before we set out on our route.

Ok been a while,i've had a few replies to the letters and some say ok they'll take my offer of payment others have just said no.I've been in touch with the bristish gas energy trust like the cccs adviced me to and they've awarded me over £800 for the gas and electric. The cccs said if i can get this that will make more money avaliable for them to help me.Now it's been a few months now and i'm still looking for work,i can't see bristish gas reducing my payments has you no the prices have gone up and i wasn't paying any extra on the gas per month anyway.
What i'm wanting to no all our debts are unsucrured debts,if we went for bankrupy what would happen e.g would they then start to take stuff from us to pay the debts. We live in a council house so they can't take that from us my cars only worth a grand at the most.Or would we still have to pay so much back.Any advice would be great has we just can't pay what they want anymore,if i could find a job then yeah we could start paying them. The problem is where getting late fees, intrest and charges for going over the limits which then puts us in a worst state than where in now0 -
Ok just a quick update i'm still out of work phone calls coming thick and fast, letters demanding full payments, long phone calls trying to get them to except reduced payments from me yet one spot wanted a min of £200 a month !!!!!!.Anyway I've had no joy cccs can't help me because we don't have enough income ect so i've been to the citierns advice and there starting the ball rolling for bankrupty, just waiting for a appointment with the money advisor and the best thing is there applying to the british gas trust fund for the fee's for the bankrupty,i didn't want to go down this route but we've ended up with no other options0
