I have been to tesco today and the daily mail coupon scanned
with no problems at all without buying the magazine.
The till girl was going to get a mail for the coupon to use as she
said these are few and far between lately.
Lucky it was refused today in Mr T - but of course tomorrow is another day.0 -

I'm a little confused as to why you aren't logged in.
I only "Log In" about 10 times a year and 6 or 7 of those will be when I visit MSE on a PC that I've never been on before in an Internet Cafe on holiday, my local library if my ISP has a problem or at a friends etc.
Unless my PC screws up and throws a "wobbly" I'm ALWAYS LOGGED IN to MSE.
Is it because you ONLY LOG IN if you want to actually make a post and then LOG OUT when you've finished ?
If so WHY ?
If not then I don't know why you are not still logged in.
I stay logged in even after closing all windows etc, powering down the PC and rebooting etc.
I just open IE and pick MSE from my favourites and there it is "Welcome quoia"
Only 2 or 3 times a year am I not greeted and I have to log in again and that's always after a PC lock-up
At last !!
I check out the Free cinema ticket thread, and this thread whilst on lunch at work, using work PC. I then know if I have to make a detour on the way home to grab a few papers before they sell out !!;)
Work PC is networked, so not only is it problematic to "log-on" permanently, but it is also painfully slow.
I logged in and wrote a reply three times today - each time my PC bombed out on me, no post to show for all my efforts, and 40 minutes of my lunch break gone !! I couldn't even get any funny faces to work either. So when I call up MSE when "away from home" it literally is to have a quick scan. I don't have time to "log-in" - which today took me a good 5(five) minutes.!!!
That is why I am not permanently logged in anywhere but at home. It may be an old PC well passed its prime, but compared to the networked pc I have at work, it is like lightening for going on-line and checking out MSE.
Sorry if I do not always then remember to go back on this thread later to press "thanks", but I really do appreciate all the posts from you guys and gals.
I don't buy ANY paper these days unless there is a coupon or freebie on offer. I simply cannot afford to.
I will make an extra effort to come back to this thread once I get home to thank you all :T0
