UK Co. Share Dividends - info for tax return?

Can someone please help me with how I can access information on the share dividends paid out in any given financial year by listed companies? I need to complete my tax return for 2004/5 - I normally receive dividend cheques (very small ones!) with a tax voucher. However, following a relationship breakup my file for these has gone missing.......
I know of 2 guides that can provide this info.
1. FT Interactive Data publish The UK & Irish Dividend & Interest Service
2. The Pinsent Masons Company Guide
Both are only available on subscription and as I only need info on 3 companies - AstraZeneca, ICI and Marks & Spencer, I cannot justify the cost.
Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Steve

Have you tried the websites of the 3 companies concerned?

Have you tried looking on your bank statement for where you paid the cheques in?0
-
Have you got access to any of the Annual Directors reports and statements?
Some companies print a dividend history in them usually towards the end of them with other stats such as number of shareholders and holdings.
These are available free for perusal purposes in my local library reference section (and it's a socialist council) so you may get some luck there.0 -
To calculate the dividends in each case do number of shares x div rate = £net div
Astrazeneca - paid 2 dividends in the tax year
20/9/04
div rate = 0.16
21/3/05
div rate = 0.343
ICI - paid 2 dividends in the tax year
16/4/04
div rate = 0.035
1/10/04
div rate = 0.034
M&S - paid 2 dividends in the tax year
16/7/04
div rate = 0.071
14/1/05
div rate = 0.046
Hope that helps, I have access to FT Interactive at work.0 -
The registrars for all those three companies are Lloyds TSB. If you register for their Shareview service at https://www.shareview.co.uk you can quickly set up a portfolio, which among other things enables you to access details of dividends you have received.Explorer900 wrote:Can someone please help me with how I can access information on the share dividends paid out in any given financial year by listed companies? ..... ..... However, you will need your shareholder's reference from either the share certificate or any year's tax voucher in order to add each share holding to your portfolio.".....where it is corrupt, purge it....."0 -
