Clipper fairtrade drinks free samples- offer finished

It looks like a bit of a scam.
Surely if it was fair trade you'd have to pay for any amount of it so the foreign farmers get a fair price for it?

Clipper is a genuine fairtrade company, but like any company they have to promote their goods, and one of the most effective ways is by sending free samples. Most people don't want to pay for a sample, even if it is fairtrade, but if you try it for free and then go on to buy the product it's worth the company's efforts as you become a regular customer, so the foreign farmers benefit.
