On the homepage for Clipper there's a competition, but when you enter you're also asked if you'd like to receive free samples to try. Think the comp ends tomorrow- but hopefully there's a chance of testing some samples....:)

URL means Uniform Resource Locator. This is the website address in the link.
https://www.google.com is a URL. The reason it is scary is because it has .exe at the end of the address. This means it is a program not just a website link. If you get any .exe attachments in your email from unknown sources DO NOT click on them as they are likely a virus.0
