blackberries, youve generally got a choice of two types of device. a slim, mobile phone version with a cut down keyboard, or the full size blackberry style one with a full (albeit tiny) qwerty keyboard. both should do all you need.

however, there are several other devices which can do the job too. theres the iphone, the nokia n95 (or the more businees facing E series phones) and then theres stuff like the 02 XDA units.

personally, ive got an n95 with unlimited internet access on tmobile. its got a great camera, all the normal features you would expect from a high end phone. web access is acceptable, but not brilliant (compared to the iphone, which has revolutionised mobile internet access), and i have it paired with a mini bluetooth keyboard for longer sessions (makes typing infinitely easier)
email is good on it. if you want "push" email, then i've got it synced with my gmail account (they host my personal domain email) and with a bit of tweaking, it will bleep when a new email comes in (as it comes in, compared to some which just check every 5/10/30 minutes depending on what you set it to)

calendar syncing is perfect with the standard nokia software. it syncs my outlook calendar perfectly over bluetooth. i cant live without it now. if i make an appointment on my phone, it syncs with outlook when i get back to my PC.

i am the blackberry administrator at work, and personally, i prefer the N95 for everything. but i also have a bb 8220 (full keyboard).. its a little bulky and i find typing on it a bit awkward.

    YMMV.

Thank you for your advise, that is impressive. Could you please tell me what "push" email is?? I have a hotmail account that i'll be wanting to access together with internet (goggle) whilst out and about.

Someone was telling me about E71 nokia? Any views???

Push email is where emails are sent to your device, rather than waiting for you to login and get them :)
