Is the time right

Is it time to start a stocks and shares ISA, with a monthly feed of perhaps £100-£200 a month ?

Thoughts please.

  • Quite possibly. Spreading your investment over time, evens out some of the peaks and troughs. You wouldn't want to have dropped in £10K last month, for example...!

Equally though, there no sign of the bottom at the moment, with US bail-out failing etc...

If you can spare 6 months worth of £200, and sit on it for a couple of years, it could prove to be a good base from which to start.
