Where to open a savings account?

Hiya. I have around £15k to put into a bank account for a short amount of time, 6 months or so but I don't know where I should be putting it for good interest and security (I know you are covererd for 35k if a bank went belly up but wouldn't really want the hassle and stress of it).
Anybody know of any moderate/high interest short term accounts that do not require much notice to withdraw money.
(I have used my ISA allowance for this year)
Thank you!!

I guess that Northen Rock e-saver (5.75% AER) has the most security.0
