It's happened to me a few times, luckily the pump wasn't always broken, but had got blocked with (paperclip + pound coin!). My machine has an easy input to the pump to allow for extracting these unwanted objects. Otherwise, last time I needed a new pump, the fitting and relacement cost around £80, with a local repairer,, but this was a few years back.Debbie0

Thanks for the info, I know that this is a silly question but were is the pump?? so I have to take the back off and what does it look like.
Girly question I know0 -
My pump inlet is at the front bottom behind an easily removed panel. I'd guess it depends on your make and model though.
It might be worthwhile having a look on the white goods web site. It has helped me in the past
