That seems slightly peculiar. The flyer was not customer specific, it was just standard flyer with the reference code I put in on my original post....

Could they have been overwhelmed by the response following this mention on MSE?

Was it in with the december magazine? I've just opened ours and nothing in there. Are you a full package customer? Maybe only aimed at certain package customers, I guess that sky can select who gets what flyer.

Yes, it was in the SKy December magazine. I am a Sky Movie World subscriber.

However, as you can tell from the T&Cs, there was nothing to say that this was restrieted to subscribers of certain packages.

Seeing as nearly 3000 people have checked this one out, could anyone else say if they had some luck.

I guess, the main thing to say is the following:
"Hi, I've received a flyer in December's Sky Magazine entitling non film four subscribers to try out Film Four free for thirty days, here is the reference code....etc..."

Please note the following:
1. Those already subscribing to Film Four cannot take up this offer.
2. This is for Sky DIgital customers only and not cable (NTL, Telewest, etc)

Thanks to OP. No problems getting the offer here. Phoned Film Four and they confirmed the code was OK and asked me to sign up to their newsletter via e-mail. I was then passed onto Sky who promptly put Film Four onto my package and confirmed it as free for 30 days.

Now I've got to remember to cancel the channel just before Christmas. ::)

I have just received my Sky mag for December - no flyer for Film Four.

Is is possible the flyer is for certain areas only - I am in N.Ireland so If I phoned do you think they would wonder how I had the code??

I "just" managed to get signed up, I got the Film Four girl who took the Code and my email address, then she put me through to the VERY helpful sky girl who said the code was no longer valid, but she would search for the deal manually, she then said she couldn't find it and there must be an error with the code, but that she would honour it anyway. She also told me to write it on my calendar to remember and call them on the 26th December to cancel the subscription if I didn't want to take the package after the trial, very good customer service, well done!!

Have just found MSE and took advantage of my first deal!!! Can't believe how easy it was to get onto Film Four, cannott have taken more than 2 minutes. Where's the catch - or am i just very naive!!!! :-/

Just remember to cancel before the 30 day free trial is over!
