Hi,
just read this on another site thought i would post it on here hope i am not repeating.
I have just read this in TravelMole - sorry if you are planning on going away over Christmas from Birmingham.
"Birmingham Airport will be thrown into chaos over Christmas as up to 200 workers voted for strike action.
The first 12-hour walk-out is planned for November 28 with further action earmarked for December 8, 10, 12, 19, 24, 26, 31 and January 6.
The fire service, engineering, terminals, security and operations will all be affected. If the action goes ahead, Birmingham Airport warned that flights will not be able to take off or land between 6am and 6pm.
The industrial action, announced by trade union Amicus, follows the sacking of two workers.
Union officials said the allegations of unauthorised absence, falsification of records and breaches of trust were without foundation. Amicus said 70% of its members voted to strike."
