OK, I am confused so maybe someone on here could give me some advice.
I am on an economy7 tarrif as we live in a village and don't have gas so we have storage heaters. This means that we pay about 22.62p pkwh for daytime usage (I think the first so many units is 13p), but our night time rate is 4p pkwh.
Now heres where I am confused..... my washing machine does not have a timer, or a delay function or anything. It has these fancy touch sensitive buttons which mean you couldn't put a plug in timer on it because when the power comes through you have to push the on button again
. So I was looking at http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product/410357/BOSCH-WAE28363GB/tab/specification this instead. But is it actually financially worthwhile. I could probably sell my existing on on fleabay or something for perhaps £150.00 so it would probably cost me £180.00 - would I save that by putting the machine time delayed to come on in the middle of the night when it is only 4p pkwh instead of 22p or is it only pennies to run the washing machine anyway?
