Word 2003 needs brightening up!

I have Vista on my laptop and untill last night Office 2007 which I loved but I am doing a college course in IT that uses Office 2003 and was getting confused between the two versions so I took 2007 off and put 2003 on 
It looks so drab and dull but at college I noticed their version at least looks brighter because the appearance is set to XP.
Is there a way of making my Office suite look abit brighter without changing the style of the whole OS to XP?

Why not save as .doc (2003) and carry on with 2007 ?? Let them catch up and you should find working with 2007 easier...

I know I could do that but I want to keep one version rather than switching between the two because otherwise I can't find things when I need them!
I can change the colour scheme but word stays grey and dull
