New House - Toilet?

Hope this is in the right place. Our new house is four floors, (not massive or anything, just on lots of levels!) The bathroom is in the basement. We are hoping to convert the walk in wardrobe in one of the bedrooms in to a toilet and sink.(No room for shower). Firstly how much do you think it would cost to do this, (i know it's a bit, how long is a piece of string!) The airing cub/hot water tank is in the same room if that helps?
Secondly the main reason we want to do this is because our daughter is only 3. (Don't want her to have to go down 2 flights of stairs for a wee!) We are looking at getting a portable loo to see us through in the mean time. Thinking of the sort you get in caravans. How easy are they to clean/empty/cost etc. Want to get something that looks resonably like a proper toilet Any ideas?
Thanks X

hi ellyboo- couple of questions first of all- does the proposed new toilet have an outside wall? if it does ,how far away is it from the soil pipe?0

Hi TTT,
No outside wall!0 -
Generally getting water to a toilet is not a problem - it's getting the waste away. The soil pipe, which carries the waste away will need to connect to your sewer and also need to be vented. I'm not a plumber, but I imagine this would involve a fair amount of work. It is unfortunate you don't have an outside wall. May something like a macerator may be a cheaper option. Possibly worth investigating?

Macerator"...IT'S FRUITY!"0 -
Ok Sause has said it all- no outside wall makes a potential nightmare using a standard soil pipe , a macerator maybe the only way to go0

Thanks for your replys! Looks like that is what it will have to be!0
