Make £1,500 to pay first month's rent and deposit on rented house

Well poo. I posted the two books I sold on Amazon and made a loss! It cost £1.92 each to post, and I got £1.41 from Amazon. How rubbish is that!
So I'm £1.02 down. I'm not putting that in my signature because the deposit fund is woefully low as it is!!
No money earnt this week ... but happily I'm keeping to my new low food shopping budget, so it's all good.
No viewers on my house yet though!! I'm getting sick of keeping it tidy, not my thing
On the good news front, it's been twenty-eight whole days since I had a takeaway :T I'm flipping marvellous.0 -
I've been pretty rubbish at keeping this diary ... I think I prefer reading everyone elses instead and taking inspiration from them!
Anyway, thanks to those who showed an interest. The update is that I've decided not to sell my house and so I don't need to make the £1,500 to pay a deposit on a rented place. My challenge is over!
The reason, for those who are interested, is because my husband just got a new job earning more money. Clever husband! So it means that although we're still massively in debt, things aren't quite as desperate as they were, and we can throw more money at our debts instead of just meeting the minimum payments.
I will continue to lurk and post occasionally as I still need to budget, save money and pay off big debts.
Love, Jenny x
P.S. I never did do that car boot sale in the end. We got up at 5 am (we had to be there for 7 am  ). It was cold and dark and frosty. We looked at each other shivering over our cornflakes, husband said, 'bed?' so we ran back to bed and put the electric blanket on instead! We got up again at about 11 am and it was chucking it down. We spent the day congratulating ourselves and saying things like 'no one would have turned up in the rain anyway'.
So we stuck it all on ebay instead :rolleyes:0
