Buying a zafira from essex car company, anyome heard of them
HI all i'm new to the site and i am still getting used to, from what i have seen it is great :j
I did want to pick your brains for a second. We're going to buy a zafira in a few weeks and have been looking around for the best deals. We are not buying new but probably a 2 year old. We've come across this company called essex car company in auto exchange the free mag you can pick up in the supermarket. Now they have all their cars with up to 5 years 0% Apr. I have never seen 0% for used cars only new and was wondering whether it was too good to be true. Have any of you heard of them or had experience with them. Any help would be much appreciated

So you may be looking at this?

It's £8500 yet Whatcar say its worth:- http://www.whatcar.com/valuation-summary.aspx?MA=2&MV=23535&ED=4553&UP=1736893&ML=36000
£6330 from a dealer(presumed 36K on the clock), as always they give with one hand and take (a bigger chunk) with the other.0 -
Thank you for that, i knew it was too good to be true as they are the only dealers that i have seen to do that. I'll be using what car in the future.
Would anyone suggest a place like car giant, we have a few thousand to put down on a car but can't afford it out right so would have to pay monthly. Whats a reasonable APR to look for you reckon?
thanks in advance0 -
I'd always try to arrange the finance first then you have much more choice and bargaining power. I've bought cars from Cargiant in the past (including £18k on a Lexus) and been very happy but have never used their finance.
Last purchase was from ebay. You can get some good bargains there. I bought a car with 37,000 miles on it for £510

Oh ok, so arrange it with a loan company or something prior to going to car giant. Thats a good idea thanks
Ebay!!!! are you serious, i would be terrified of buying a wreck or something. I'm going to have a look anyway and see whats available

I'm in the same county.........
But I don't personally know this company - but it doesn't look very salubrious to me.
Can't you do a search on Auto Trader for similar vehicles? Does it have to be a Zafira?Genie

I think it's worth every penny!
The first 3 pics show a Zafira A with the interior of an Astra or Vectra.

I'm in Essex too and had a couple of ads from that lot come up on Parkers when I was looking. Their prices are massively inflated, and the cars they had looked in poor condition. They'll give finance to pretty much anyone which is a high risk business, so everyone pays a premium.
Since you want to buy with finance, you're likely to pay a little over the odds, but use the Parkers price guide to check roughly what the price should be. I find Parkers actually slightly on the low side - not sure you'd ever manage to get a car for what they say - but it should at least tell you if a price is roughly where it should be.

EDIT: Also, a few thousand would buy you a decent second hand car - why not do that rather than getting something newer on finance?0
