Help With Ebooks Please!

I've been selling 2nd hand non fiction books for a while on ebay and although its ok, I find quite a lot don't sell and I am gradually being overwhelmed by piles of books. I like the idea of ebooks in terms of saving paper, easy to send etc etc. Now, I know quite a lot of people are anti-ebooks saying they are a rip off but there must be some decent ones out there. I don't want to rip anyone off and I want my customers to be happy with what they buy. Has anyone got any advice about where I can buy good quality ebooks to sell on (preferably stuff that not everyone else is selling).
thank you!

If they did they would probably be doing it themselves! ;)
As for those books why don't you look on the Amazon thread and have a go selling them on there.
  • I had a thought about opening an online ebook library where the person looking for the book could download it for maybe £1 each book. And splitting it 50/50 with the publishers/Author (whoever owns the rights). I just seem to have this image of everyone walking around with a palm pilot thingy that is design to read books on and people would go to a site like an online library where they can download whatever they want to read like people do with music and ipods at the moment. I guess the biggest thing would to be find a large and good source of books and to convince pubishers/ Author that it is a good idea. Then of course setting up the website. Most of it should then be automated. Hmmm….
  • ...could set a contract with newspapers too and people could download the newspaper direct to there hand thingy each morning....
  • Just bought a Mitac 168 with gps but also want to put ebooks on it, to read not to listen to.
Keep getting error messages when I try to open it on my pda.
Do I need any special software to open these?
  • Sorry, I have no idea. I usually get my other half to sort all the technical stuff out.

is the problem with ebooks, that if you sell them for 99p some other sod will buy it and flog it for 89p? plus its very hard to stop people doing that. i'd imagine the margins are very thin too....
