Want to open a new savings account

Myself and my partner are looking to open a new savings account for us to put in a lump sum, but also want to be able to deposit throughout the year.

We were thinking about a Halifax Guaranteed Saver Reward account. Is this the best or is there something better for us to get the best out of our savings.

5.5% is going to be ok but after tax that will go down to 4.4%.

There are better rates out there.

Does anyone have any experience of Kaupthing Edge?

Hmmmm.........just noticed that they don't allow you to open joint accounts

Bank of Scotland IASA Reward pays 6% - and is more or less identical to the Guaranteed Saver Reward.

Can be viewed/operated online via Halifax site too.
