loft insulation in Nottinghamshire

Hi
looking for a company to upgrade my loft insulation its about 10mm chicken feed type at the moment,would like to add about 250mm, loft is about 60m2.

Any ideas?

Go on to the energy saving trust website www.energysavingtrust.org.uk and search for a Grant or try your energy supplier as they sometimes have schemes in place to help improve energy efficiency.

I've had 3 places done now with the local grant scheme. The national players (EDF etc) will all do it for, typically, £199 but take several weeks to organise. I used a local supplier (Leics) who came round to quote within 2 days and installing this week. Very fast service and less than £200. Even with the Wickes 2 for 1 offer on at the moment, I wouldn't save much by doing myself and I'm happy to pay someone else to crawl about in the loft for me!

does anyone know if they will lay the insulation over some boarding or will they insist the boards are taken up?
loft is approx one third boarded and my plan was to get them to lay the insulation as normal over the unboarded areas and then lay on top of board as this must be better than nothing right?

meant to say that dont know which council you come under but rushcliffe bc has a list of suppliers and approx price on their website and shows the price range which can be quite big
