Claiming JSA for the first time

I made a claim online and haven't heard anything back from them, they said they would be in contact within two days, but nothing.

I am about to phone them to see if I can continue my claim that way.

Can someone tell me how much employment history they need? I have been given conflicting advice, some people sying one year and other people saying 5.

Comments

  • JSA target for adjudicating is 12 working days from date of claim to processing.

The JSA forms ask for the last 12 months employment history.

You should hear pretty soon about your interview date as the 12 day clock is ticking.
  • Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately they said my initial claim didn't go through online, so I had to go through it all again.

I have an interview Thursday morning.
